REMINDER: The plastic collection challenge is coming to an end. The last day to drop off plastic in either of the buildings will be April 13th.
As of the end of February we were 2nd place in Wisconsin and 13th place in the Nation with 2571 pounds of plastic.
The Bloomer School District is participating in the Trex Company and Charter Next Generation’s Film Recycle Challenge from December 1, 2022, through April 22, 2023.
Through the challenge, our district can win a variety of prizes, including a cash prize of $5,000.
Qualifying film plastic recyclables (shown below) can be dropped off in the bins located outside EACH of the school offices.

BHS Class of 2023 Senior Spotlight 🧡🖤

Last week, 5 seventh graders from BMS competed against 23 teams from 10 school districts in an Engineering Machine Design Contest, (one of two Preliminary contests in Wisconsin). Students were required to present their project in front of a judging team that consisted of more than 20 professionals from local businesses including MRS Machining, Ayres Associates, Bush Bros., 3M, Realityworks, and WIN Technology. At the conclusion of the judging rounds Bloomer was awarded 4th overall for presentation, team journal, and successful operation of the machine.
Teams that placed at yesterday's regional tournament will advance to the championship round in Anoka, MN where they will compete against the winners of 7 other regional contests. This was a BIG win for this team and I am so excited to see what they accomplish at the Championship!
The kindergarten music classes learned the song “Down By The Bay” and practiced rhyming words with some fun props! 🎶

Reminder for the community town hall meeting. The Bloomer Event will be held Wed. April 5th at BMS.
We will be having a youth component and breakout session facilitated by school resource officers/counselors to discuss harmful effects of drugs, what to do if you are approached or know someone who needs help, etc.
