Once this deadline passes, personalization will close permanently as the printing plant begins stamping names on the yearbook covers. There will be no additional opportunities after this date.

BES is proud to recognize our February Kind Hero Award recipient! Miss Lexi Schwartz is a paraprofessional in our building who consistently demonstrates kindness, helpfulness and an adaptability that makes the students she works with want to succeed and she is an extremely pleasant person to work with!

Miss Lexi works in a variety of environments each day and maintains a steady, calm presence. She holds the students she works with to high expectations, no matter the challenge, and is always assisting teachers and other students in any way she can. Miss Lexi's clear love for her students and her go with the flow attitude, make her a true asset to our school!

This week, I would like to nominate Missy Kostner for the Golden Talon Award. Missy is someone who wears many hats and takes on a wide range of responsibilities around BHS, often working behind the scenes without seeking recognition. In addition to managing our Library Media Center, she can frequently be found capturing photos for the yearbook, promoting events, managing our district social media accounts, and even stepping in to assist in the high school office whenever needed.

Beyond her daily responsibilities, Missy has also been a tremendous help to me in planning and organizing our group travel events. Her attention to detail and willingness to jump in wherever needed make a big difference.

I always appreciate Missy’s positive attitude — she has a great way of putting a smile on people’s faces and creating a welcoming environment for both staff and students. We are very fortunate to have Missy as part of our district. #bloomerhawks

Karen Smith of Heart Blossom Quilt Shop and Security Bank partnered to donate fabric and batting. They also teamed together to donate a new sewing machine for one lucky participant in the Quilting Wellnessday Workshop!

📣 Game Update for Tonight!

The Girls JV game vs. Altoona has been cancelled this evening. Instead, there will be an intersquad match at 6:00 PM.

🏀 Varsity vs. Altoona will still take place at 7:00 PM.

🎓 Tonight is Senior Night! Seniors will be recognized prior to varsity warm-ups, so come early to help us celebrate them.

We hope to see you there supporting our athletes!

Drew Ryder, BHS Senior, has qualified for the WIAA Boys State Wrestling Tournament after an outstanding performance at the Division 2 Sectional Wrestling Tournament held this past Saturday in Chetek, where he finished 2nd overall as an individual in his weight class.

Drew will represent the Bloomer/Colfax Raptors wrestling team at the State Wrestling Tournament starting on Thursday, February 27th at the Kohl Center in Madison.

Congratulations to Drew and his coaches on this incredible accomplishment and best of luck at the state tournament.

📪💌 Driving the mail truck, mailing letters, and exploring the post office made for a wonderful day of learning for our Bloomer 4K friends! The students had so much fun while learning about the process of how a letter travels from the mailbox to someone’s home. There were smiles, great questions, and lots of hands-on learning throughout the visit.

A big thank you to Sammy at the Bloomer Post Office for giving our youngest learners this special opportunity. We truly appreciate your time and generosity in helping make this experience so meaningful for our students! 📬✉️
