Ms. Begalke’s second graders wrapped their Early Asian Civilization unit with some fun activities! They made red envelopes with play money inside and gave them away to family and friends as a way of wishing them good luck! They also made Chinese lanterns and “old fashioned” fortune tellers! 🏮📩

On Friday, the second graders went on a field trip to Auburn Homestead in New Auburn! 🌳🌲 This 4 hour field trip was jam-packed with many fun activities!! They enjoyed the bounce house and slide, a corn pit, a hay ride, pumpkin bowling, a slingshot gallery, a petting zoo, and a pumpkin cannon! At the very end of the trip they were treated to hot chocolate, homemade mini donuts(fresh out of the fryer) and a gourd to take home! The kids definitely gave this a two thumbs up and we’re talking about going back for a visit with their families!!
