Did you know only 41 days left for SENIORS. Make sure you have ordered your BHS yearbook for the 2021-2022 school year.

This week, as part of our community unit, Mr. Smikrud's 6th grade social studies classes spent a little time at the Bloomer/New Auburn Food Pantry, were we toured the facility, got an inside look of the process for preparing for food pickup, and even helped put together some treat bags. Ms. Primeau's 1st graders have been learning about the history of the Earth and geology. They panned for rocks today and had a blast! Thank you so much to Ferguson's Orchards in Eau Claire for giving this opportunity to them!

We begin our countdown to graduation celebrating our SENIORS!!

Sixth grade science students built their own Rube Goldberg machines. Their machines accomplished many cool tasks like popping water balloons, painting a canvas, feeding a kitty a treat and even shooting off a rocket! #bloomerhawks

This week Mrs. McMullin would like to nominate Mrs. Dee Vahlenkamp for the Golden Talon Award. " For many of our students, Dee is the first person they talk to each morning and they are always greeted individually (usually by name) and with a smile and a pleasant conversation. This may not seem like it is a big thing, but we do not know what kind of morning many of our students have, how they feel about being at school or what situation they are coming in to school with and these personal greetings and kind words - always with a smile - can mean so much and is a great way to start the day. Thanks for all you do here Dee - you are an integral part of this community and we would not be the same without you!"

Happy National Ag Day!

This week Mrs. Schultz would like to nominate Mrs. McMullin for the Golden Talon Award. "Her work each day with our at-risk youth often goes unseen by the community but the evolution of her students is a pretty amazing thing to watch! They start their time with her assessing where they sit at for risk factors for future struggles and then the real work begins. Their time in Ms. McMullin's program take them on a journey to improve their resiliency to conquer those risk factors and struggles. I appreciate the care, time and honesty that she uses with her students every day. Thank you, Shanna! "
