Congratulations to the BMS XC teams! We had a fantastic season. At our final meet in Thorp, both boys and girls took 3rd place as teams overall. Also, we congratulate Ashton and Rebecca for each taking second place in their races! Go Blackhawks! #bloomerhawks

NO PHONES, NO PROBLEM!! 85 BMS 7th graders recently completed lengthy book discussions 👀. These 12 & 13 year-olds had to talk to their peers with proper eye contact and could not interrupt, yell or make jokes… and they crushed it!!! The conversations centered around their classroom novel, A Long Walk to Water. Students discussed character development, point-of-view, setting, and made predictions. All topics included text evidence and solid reasoning. We know they communicate well with their phones, but their face-to-face conversation skills were OFF THE CHART this week! Bravo! #bloomerhawks

Students in 6th grade Science were challenged to use the engineering and design process to build a prototype of a toy. The goal was to use the toy to teach a younger student about potential and kinetic energy. These toys were super creative! Good work 6th Graders! #bloomerhawks

5th graders in Mrs. Bloom’s Social Studies classes enjoyed taste testing some wild rice after learning about different resources that come from the various regions throughout the United States! #bloomerhawks

Blackhawks Unite! ~ The School District of Bloomer is celebrating UNITY DAY in all three of our buildings on October 16, 2024! Thank you for joining us in recognizing UNITY DAY by wearing ORANGE on WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 16! BLACKHAWKS UNITE to HELP ALL WITH KINDNESS! WE support ending bullying and STAND TOGETHER!
