🧦 Socktoberfest is On! 🧦
The Bloomer Middle School Student Council is hosting Socktoberfest to support the homeless and those in need. We’re on a mission to collect 500 pairs of socks to make a difference, and we’ve already reached 132 pairs!
If you’re able to help, please consider dropping off new socks at Bloomer Middle School. Every pair counts and gets us closer to our goal! 🧦✨
Collection runs through October 31. Let’s work together to keep feet warm and spirits high this fall!

Mrs. Paroubek’s ELA classes had a text-based fishbowl discussion about the challenges faced by the main character in our novel.
Students came to the discussion prepared with notes, they used evidence from the text to explain their thinking, they made sure everyone had a chance to speak, and they responded to each other’s comments and viewpoints respectfully.
The future is bright! 😎

We are very excited to have the Moreland family join us to share their story and experiences living with autism and epilepsy.
We will hear the mother's perspective, siblings' perspective and also from Lindsey the young adult who was nonverbal at age 4 and now is fully independent and thriving. She is an illustrator for the Koda the Fluff series of children's books and has written several children's books based on her own childhood experiences from being the target of bullies to making a friend.
The family will offer their books and sensory plushie available for sale after the program. This program is sponsored by the Bloomer Public Library and free for all ages to attend

🚨 Attention Bloomer Community 🚨
As part of our ongoing commitment to the safety and well-being of our students and staff, Bloomer High School will participate in a PRACTICE armed intruder drill on Thur. Oct. 24.
This drill is a precautionary measure to ensure everyone knows the proper protocols in the event of an emergency.
Please rest assured that this is only a drill, and no real danger is present.
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding as we continue to prioritize safety at Bloomer High School.

🏃♀️ NOW HIRING: Middle School Track Coach! 🏃♂️
Do you have a passion for athletics and working with youth? We're looking for an enthusiastic Track Coach to join our middle school team and help shape the next generation of athletes!

In Mrs. Klemish's ELA class, her students are going to be practicing how to make and describe a connection between two individuals, events, ideas, or pieces of information in a text.
They will be practicing this by using texts about fossils and the history of the Earth. Step one to this unit is to build background knowledge about the Earth. Today they used playdough to build an Earth to learn about the core, mantle, crust, water, and landforms.
Before they sliced their Earth in half, they made predictions as to what they were going to see on the inside!

Congratulations Owen!! 🖼️

Happy Fall Y'all!

✏️The School District of Bloomer would like to thank the Blackhawk Education Foundation, for once again providing school supplies to all Bloomer Elementary and Middle School students. 📒
The provision of school supplies plays a crucial role in creating an environment where students are ready and equipped to learn. When students have the materials they need, it reduces distractions, increases engagement, and allows them to focus more fully on their studies!
Donations to the Blackhawk Foundation can be made at https://blackhawkeducationfoundation.com/
