Mr. Swartz’s manufacturing class is learning about lean and green manufacturing. Can waste be turned into profit? Students are recycling pallets that would normally be burnt or destroyed and creating projects to sell. #bloomerhawks

Holy Plastic! The first month of the plastic recycling challenge had great success, 560 pounds of plastic film was collect in December. Thank you to our local businesses who are helping us with our recycling challenge. Four months to go. Please stop at any of the school buildings to drop off plastic film. #bloomerhawks

We have a stem group that tried solar ovens 4th graders have been problem solving with solar power. The students made their own "solar ovens" and tried them out on the first sunny day in a while. With the outside temperature at 9 degrees above zero, some groups were able to make the chocolate melt on their smores.
