Ms. Gilane’s 5th grade Health classes wrapped up their semester by exploring in the kitchen.
They put their cooking skills to the test and even learned how to take care of the dishes. 🍕🥪
The Lifetime Winter Fitness has had a tough year this year with no snow for doing all their fun activities but they were still able to take a field trip to Hobbs Ice Arena to do a little ice skating and to the Eau Claire Curling Club to learn how to curl.
The students got a chance to learn all the different positions in curling and also how to sweep and throw the stone. It was a fun experience and they learned so much about curling.

The BMS 8th grade girls basketball team took in an UW-Eau Claire women's game vs. UW-Platteville.
Afterward, they got to meet some of the UWEC players and a player from UW-Platteville that was one of Coach Smikrud's former students.

Ms. Gesler's Culinary Academy students took on a competitive lab after learning about the history of hot dogs, and how they might market products to consumers.
This lab was a hot dog lab; each group of students designed their own style of hot dog, created a poster for consumers to visualize their hot dog idea, and invited judges in to decide the winning team! Taste, appearance, and poster marketing were all criteria for this contest!🌭
This activity was quite engaging and exciting for students, and they enjoyed seeing a few of our awesome staff members volunteer their time to come in and judge. Congratulations to the winning team, and a special thank you to Mr. Steinmetz, Mr. Swartz, and Mrs. Prust!
4th-grade students shook things up this week with a special guest presenter! We got to listen to the firsthand account of Ms. Vickie and her family’s experience with earthquakes while growing up in California! The student's eyes couldn’t have been bigger getting to watch videos of earthquakes and listening to Ms. Vickie’s experience! 🌎

UPDATE: Mr. Mickelson’s 7th grade ELA students have received their first responses from their pen pals in Canada!! (They play a lot of hockey 🏒)
The school even sent back a shirt with their mascot - the Géants!! They are a French-speaking school district!!
