Donation

Thank you, Blackhawk Nation!

Thank you to all of the individuals and organizations who contributed to the Blackhawk Educational Fund during their matching donation campaign.  Your support helped the Blackhawk Education Fund surpass the $55,000 goal, raising a total of $63,292.95 to assist Bloomer Schools in purchasing student supply kits for all preschool through 8th-grade students. Special thank you to two of our Bloomer community members, Ed Kleingartner and Tom Rufledt, for their generosity in matching donations by contributing $20,000 each to the Blackhawk Educational Fund.

Although the matching campaign is over for this year, you can still make a tax-deductible donation to the Blackhawk Educational Fund to be used toward future supplies to enhance the educational journey of K-12 students and/or to support educators’ innovative learning projects. Donations can be made directly to the Community Foundation of Chippewa County (CFCC) by visiting https://www.yourlegacyforever.org/donate and selecting the Blackhawk Education Fund from the drop-down menu. Cash or checks made out to CFCC can also be dropped off at the district office, next to Bloomer High School, or sent directly to the Community Foundation of Chippewa County, 404 ½ N Bridge Street, PO Box 153, Chippewa Falls, WI 54729 by including the Blackhawk Education Fund in the memo line.

The cost of student supply kits for all preschool through 8th-grade students this year was $51,699.99. Purchasing in bulk reduced the individual supply kit cost to under $50 per student. Thanks to the generosity of our Bloomer community, every child started this school year with the tools they need to succeed.
