School District of Bloomer Announces Inaugural Hall of Fame and Seeks Nominations

BLOOMER, WI – August 19, 2025 – The School District of Bloomer is proud to announce the establishment of its Hall of Fame, a new initiative to honor outstanding individuals and teams with a past or present affiliation with the district. The Hall of Fame will recognize those who have distinguished themselves through accomplishments within the district, service to the district, or who have brought great pride to the School District of Bloomer through their achievements. 

The Hall of Fame Committee, a citizens’ advisory committee established by the Board of Education, will be accepting nominations for the inaugural class of inductees beginning on November 1, 2025. The purpose of the Hall of Fame is to celebrate the rich history and impactful contributions of Bloomer's alumni, staff, and community members. 

Who is eligible for nomination? 

Any outstanding individual or team with a past or present affiliation with the School District of Bloomer is eligible. This includes alumni who have made significant accomplishments in athletics or academics, demonstrated distinction in professions like law, medicine, or education, achieved exceptional success in trade, business, industry, or government, or excelled in cultural endeavors such as art, music, or theater. Coaches, advisors, district employees, volunteers, or community members who have made significant contributions to the district are also eligible. Nominees do not have to be graduates of Bloomer High School or have attended the Bloomer School system. Nominees may be nominated posthumously, must be suitable as a role model, and cannot be a present Board of Education or Hall of Fame Committee member. Alumni, coaches, advisors, or district employees must have had a separation of at least seven (7) years from the district before consideration for induction. 

How to Nominate Someone: 

Nomination forms will be made available starting on Friday, November 1, 2025, for pick-up at the School District of Bloomer Administrative Office located at 1310 17th Avenue, Bloomer, WI 54724. Starting on November 1, 2025, forms will also be made available for download on the district website at www.bloomer.k12.wi.us. For individuals wanting to submit an online nomination form, they will also be able to go to the website starting on November 1, 2025, to complete and submit online nominations. 

Completed nomination forms should be returned to the District Administrative Office, attention to the Hall of Fame Committee, at the address above. 

Important Dates for 2026 Inductee Consideration: 

● November 1, 2025: Nomination forms become available to the public 

● February 15, 2026: Nomination form deadline for 2026 inductee consideration 

● May 15, 2026: Public notification of 2026 Hall of Fame inductees 

● September 12, 2026: Hall of Fame reception and induction ceremony 

Nomination forms will be kept for consideration for five (5) years. Please note that the nominator cannot be a member of the nominee’s immediate family. 

The Hall of Fame Committee looks forward to receiving nominations and celebrating the incredible achievements of individuals connected to the School District of Bloomer. 

About the Bloomer School District Hall of Fame: 

The School District of Bloomer Hall of Fame was established by the Board of Education as a citizens’ advisory committee to recognize and honor outstanding individuals or teams who have made significant contributions or brought pride to the district. Inductees will be recognized at a varsity football game, a reception, and an induction ceremony, and their names will be added to a permanent display at Bloomer High School.
