Through creative art projects, guided conversations, and exploring the cancer center, kids learn about cancer and discover healthy ways to express their feelings in a safe, supportive environment. The program is open to families no matter where their loved one is receiving medical care.
Our team of cancer center staff is passionate about making this experience positive and uplifting for children and their families. For 2026, we’re planning two sessions:
January 19 – February 23
September 21 – October 26
See the brochure for more information.

January is National Mentoring Month ~ Children are the heart of the future!
Mentorship plays a vital role in the success of our students. Across our district, mentors provide guidance, encouragement, and support that help students grow academically, socially, and emotionally.
We are grateful for the staff members, volunteers, and community partners who invest in our students and help shape their futures.
If you are interested in being a mentor, please contact:

One kindergarten tradition that we still LOVE to do each year, is make gingerbread houses! A BIG THANK YOU to Mrs. Riesterer, a retired kindergarten teacher, and a professional gingerbread house builder! She helped us create our tasty creations! #bloomerhawks

Check out our photos (and karaoke video) from our homeroom party. We enjoyed food, songs, and a fun white elephant gift exchange.

🌟🎄Happy Holidays from our little classroom family to yours! 🌟🎄

Our high school's main office runs smoothly thanks to Jen, whose positive attitude makes her a warm and welcoming first contact for all students and families. She builds relationships with students, offering a supportive and friendly presence in their daily school lives.
A master multi-tasker, she smoothly manages countless administrative tasks while still finding time to organize the annual High School Giving Tree, ensuring our students in need have a brighter holiday season. She has also been a great friend to me over the years and a great resource when I needed it.
Thank you Jen for all you do for the district."
